Class 6 St Lawrence

At my first half term of the year, I went to Dorking, where my cousins live, on the first Saturday.

On Sunday,I went to Hampton Court,where King Henry VIII lived. I went in the maze,and found it very easy to get through.Because it was so sunny,we had a picnic in the gardens,right by the River Thames.

On Monday,I went on a train to London Waterloo,which is the station with the most platforms in Great Britain.It has about 24 platforms.On some of the platforms,there were some Eurostars waiting for passengers to go through the Channel Tunnel.Then we went to the British Museum to look a Indus Valley artefacts.I saw seals,bowls,a model of a pig,a model of a bull and a grinding stone.I also visited King’s Cross and St.Pancras.At St.Pancras I saw a countdown screen for the Eurostars to come to St. Pancras.On November 14th,the Eurostars will make their final runs to and from Waterloo.They will move overnight to St. Pancras.At King’s Cross(afterwards) I saw a sign saying Platform 9 and 3/4 and below it was part of a trolley fixed to the wall,it looked like it was going through the wall,like in Harry Potter.Then I and Dad caught a train to Welwyn Garden City,calling at Finsbury Park,Potters Bar and Welwyn Garden City.I went trainspotting at Welwyn Garden City, and saw commuter trains and GNER high speed trains.

On Tuesday,we drove to Southampton to see my Grandad.We had lunch at the Balmoral Restaurant,then we took a walk to The New Forest to see some wild ponies.Later we went back to the 5 cousins’ house.

On Wednesday,we took the train to London again,but to London Victoria THIS time.We went to Westminster Abbey, and saw Queen Elizabeth I’s grave,and Shakespeare’s grave,and the oldest door in Britain.Then we heard Big Ben chime and saw the Houses of Parliament,then we took the Underground to Oxford Circus,and went down Regent Street to Hamley’s toy shop,and it’s the biggest toy shop in the world.

On Thursday,we left for home.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, two people from shrewsbury sixth form (Kay and Amy) came in to teach us a bit more about eating healthily and exercising . We all went out in groups . On Tuesday we found out about eating healthy and whats bad for us, and made a fruit salad.On Wednesday we did exercising   

class6 went digging on the school field and became archaeologists for the day.

Red table rushed out whith the gardening tools to look for artefacts. Did we find any??? Look for Photos on our blog of our dig.

Every Sunday,I go to the Causeway Riding school.The horse I ride is called Blueboy.Trotting can be very bumpy for me when I’m doing sitting trot,and I go up and down on the saddle!The smallest,but oldest horse at the stables is called Peanut.He doesn’t like standing with the other horses,like when Blueboy bites his bottom!
He is ridden by smaller children than me.My instructor is called Ellie.Blueboy is also lazy,even when someone is riding him.The other horses(there are not just Blueboy and Peanut)are Billy,who pooed in the school!,Mickey and Pongo.Now I know both Blueboy and Peanut like me.I ride blueboy still,but I can’t ride Peanut,he’s too small.

On Saturday the rugby semi-final engaland v.s france was played in Paris.
At first they were getting ready for the rugby.
At the start, France had the ball,then England took the ball. Quickly, one of England’s players charged through and scored a touch down for 5 points.

On Wednesdays we have swimming lessons.
We learn back crawl, front crawl, breast stroke, butterfly.

It was a Wednesday morning time for swimming.We got out our swimming kit and made our way to the pool with the swimming teacher. 

We finally manedged to get the sunken ship up! Yay!!!!!

On Friday  we went to go and dig on the field. Just 3m away, we found 2 pieces of rock and a lot of worms. EWW.

On Wednesday  I went to the sports village in Shrewsbury and we won, one nill on the first match.
